OAKWOOD CEMETERY - PHOTO AND INDEX
Cady Street, one block south of W. Main Street, Northville, Wayne County, Michigan
This is the “old Cady Street Cemetery” and was the first cemetery located in Northville. There are burials dating back to the early 1800s, along with some Revolutionary War Soldiers and Civil War Veterans. The cemetery is not an active burial site and is kept locked to help preserve its history. Many burials in the cemetery reflect names of early settlers and streets throughout the city. The City of Northville Public Works Department maintains the cemetery.
